The seven chakras are the main energy centers of the body, ranging from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. When all chakras are open and flowing freely, we feel light, aligned and at ease.

But if even one is blocked, it can cause a lot of problems, both mental and physical, and block energy from reaching the chakras that come after it. So if your first chakra, the root, is blocked, it's likely that all of your other chakras are also somehow out of balance. When someone first hears about the chakra energy system, they naturally want to know which of their chakras are open, weak or closed. The fifth chakra is located in the throat.

This chakra is connected to the expression of all things and governs how you share your message and perspective with the world. Do you speak your mind and share your voice with the world? If this chakra is blocked, chances are you're not. Voice and throat problems, as well as any problems with everything around that area, such as teeth, gums, and mouth, can indicate a blockage. I did the chakra test again, by the way, and the two times I returned the sacrum was out of balance, although I do agree with the pranic healer that there is more than one chakra out of balance for me.

If one chakra is not doing its job, another has to make up the difference, causing unstable life force energy, which can lead to imbalances in physical, mental, or emotional health. Knowing which chakras are spinning and open, and which are blocked, will allow you to pay attention and understand how you can realign these wheels and heal yourself. When one of the chakras becomes unbalanced, it causes a physical, emotional or mental impact on the body. When this chakra is open, it is believed to help keep all other chakras open and provide bliss and enlightenment.

A few days later I had a pranic healing session for the lingering cold and mentioned that my sacral chakra was not balanced. The second chakra, the chakra of creation, helps us to have a particular pleasant life, enjoying sexual pleasure. In Susan's case, her weak and dysfunctional second and fourth chakras were compensated by her third chakra, which generated more energy to counteract the blockages. The greatest gift of this chakra is the acceptance of an authentic voice that is original in thought and true in speech.

In Susan's case, her compromised chakras 2 and 4 and her hyperactive third chakra energy contributed to her body being compromised with the condition of fibromyalgia. The Sanskrit word “chakra” represents the concept that rotating energy wheels are responsible for a series of functions that connect your body with your energy field and the wider cosmic energy field.
